Refreshing Jobs – It’s Automatic, It’s Easier!
As we have observed over time that recruiters sometimes visit the website just to refresh the job they have posted recently. So, just to ease off this iteration and provide you with a comfortable experience with the site, we thought of automating this process too, providing you with "Recurring Refresh".
With this feature added in the Job Posting forms, and in the Manage Jobs Section, the Users can set automatic Job Refreshes at predefined Time Intervals without even visiting the site.
First, you need to set the Recurrence Pattern to Weekly, Fortnightly or Monthly, to define the... Read More
Shortlisting Applications Just Got Easier!!
We know that recruiters spend a lot of time to painstakingly go through each of the hundreds of applications that come in to the Inbox. In order manage those applications better we've only gone so far as to set a rule in Outlook to directly send responses coming for a particular job into separate folders. But is there more that can be done? For instance, if there was a way to quickly decide which application is worth a view, and which one is not, without opening an e-Mail, that would significantly increase the productivity of a recruiter.
With our two new features, ‘Customize Subject... Read More
Find more Freshers: A better way to search
While analysing the resume searches being conducted in Resdex, we observed that some of the searches were being done on keywords like "fresher", "MBA fresher" etc.
It was fairly obvious that the intent was to search for people with no work experience. But since these were searched as keywords, result for these searches would yield only such resumes that contain these keywords - and these necessarily will not be candidates with zero years of work experience. So, this search might miss out on a fairly large number of relevant candidates whose resumes did not contain the specified... Read More
Search Faster !
We decide the default settings of the search forms, by analyzing the usage patterns of our users, e.g. since most of our users prefer searching the keyword in the "entire resume", the default option selected is the same. This is done to reduce the time spent for filling the search form, thus increasing the user productivity.
However, there are some users who don't search using the default options. Like the default search is for the candidates active in last 1 year but some users search for 3 months old profiles only, thus they end up changing the option to 3 months every time they conduct... Read More
Download Resume: What’s New?
We were apprised that since we have moved to a single download button, some of our users were facing difficulty in identifying whether the original resume of the candidate is available with us or not. Thus to make things easier, we have made slight modifications in the download resume functionality in Resdex (resume database).
Here is how the new functionality works
a) We still have one download button but there will be two different icons on it
b) "Word" icon depicts that candidate's original resume is available and same will get downloaded.
c) "Naukri" icon depicts that... Read More
Change Log: What’s no more !
While evaluating the new features to be introduced in this version, we were stuck on a debate that whether we should just keep on adding more features or rationalize some old ones with the new ones. Someone has said that "features are a one way street", whether the feature is good or bad, once you launch it you've married it. So it was a tough call for all of us here.
But since our objective was to make our products much more efficient and easy to use, after carefully analyzing the usage of our existing feature and speaking to clients across various locations, we decided to replace some of... Read More
Recruiter Blogs: What all is there?
There are blogs written by recruiters of course but which ones do you look at and how do you find one from your favorite company?
This post would try and answer these questions. The Homepage of the Recruiter Blogs (http://recruiterblogs.naukri.com/) has 3 sections, namely: Blogs Gallery, Featured Blogs and Recent Posts. The names of these sections are self-explanatory but I'd still detail them out for you.
1) Blogs Gallery: This section has links to all blogs (ever written) by recruiters of few companies that are using online recruitment (Naukri) and have chosen to use the blogs as a... Read More

Resdex: Similar Resumes
Many a times there are relevant resumes on our database that are similar to the profile you are looking for, but may not match all the criteria you have mentioned in the search form. There can be a minor mismatch in terms of location, years of experience, educational qualification etc. But as a result, you miss out on good resumes because they may not reflect in your search results at all. Our recommendation engine of "Show Similar Resumes" will help you in reaching these resumes.
