What is Phishing?
Phishing is an attempt by fraudsters /hackers to ‘fish’ for your personal and confidential information, like User ID, Password, etc. through e-mails. This information is then used to make unauthorized access in your Recruiter account on Naukri.
Phishing e-mails and websites have a familiar appearance to deceive consumers into thinking the sender or website owner is a Naukri.com service.
How do fraudsters operate?
- Fraudsters pose as Naukri.com officials and send fake emails to customers, asking them to urgently verify or update their account information by clicking on a link in the email.
- Clicking on the link diverts the customer to a fake website that looks like the official Naukri.com website – with a web form to fill in his/her personal information.
- Information so acquired is then used to access CVs or send fraudulent emails to jobseekers from the customer’s account.
