What this means, is that when you select the functional area “Software Development - All” - it selects

any role(s) in this parent Functional Area (Software Development - All), then it effectively selects
all those roles for all the software development Functional Areas. Please refer the image below:

In order to help you (recruiters and employers) get better, sharper response from candidates they contact,
we have now designed the Contact Candidate Form such that you can send more targeted and more informative
mails to candidates.
First, there is the Job Details section, where we ask you to input some highlights of the job you are emailing
about. This information will be presented to jobseekers at the top of the email, and in bold – which means
the candidate can now get a quick snapshot idea of what the job is about, and hence can take faster, better
judgment to respond to you. They will now not put off reading (and responding to) the email for later because
the Job Detail highlights will grip their attention instantly.

Second, let’s consider the Candidate Profile to be contacted. Here we want to encourage you to take a
conscious choice about which candidates are most suitable for the job opportunity. If you have already
entered these values in the search form, then these fields will get pre-filled. This ensures that candidates
will receive relevant emails, and the response rate to your emails will improve.

You would be warned in case you select large/broad ranges for experience/CTC field in either job attribute or candidate profile. You can always ignore the warning and continue to use the range as specified earlier. This is just to ensure that you do not make any unconscious candidate contacts. This also helps you use your email quota judiciously.
So, these two additions to your Contact Candidate Form are designed and intended to help you get
quicker and more relevant responses from candidates. This will improve your productivity when using
Naukri.

We are enriching the amount of information we provide you about a candidate on the search
results page. This will help you take a more informed decision to consider, or not consider,
a resume for your particular mandate. So what are these new pieces of information?
One, we will inform you whether or not the candidate has a verified email-id. A verified
email-id is a signal that the resume is not a fake one, and that it belongs to a job-seeker
serious about his profile/resume and his job search. It is not a guarantee, but it is a good
signal, and will help you make a better judgment to view or not view the resume.
Two, we will be informing you of the number of times the resume of a candidate has been
downloaded by recruiters. We already show the number of resume views on the Search Result
Page and now, combined with the number of resume downloads, it provides you powerful
information.
For example, a high download/view ratio is a broad signal that the resume is likely to contain
genuine and appropriate data, and that other recruiters, at large, found it worthy of
downloading it for further consideration; And a low download/view ratio indicates that
recruiters, at large, did not find it worthy of downloading it for further consideration.
You can then exercise your judgment to view or not view the resume.

Moreover, we are introducing one more new feature - you will now have the power to be able
to contribute towards improving the quality of resumes in the database. We are introducing
the ‘Report Resume’ link on each resume, using which you can inform us if you believe the
resume is fake/junk, or has invalid contact information, or is a duplicate resume. This
information will help us provide you with ever increasing quality of resumes in the database.

Job Posting and Response Management
This section describes Naukri Job Posting and Response Management solutions. It briefly explains Hot Vacancy, Naukri’s premium job posting service and various filters that you can use while posting jobs to easily sort and filter applications. You will also come to know about free Naukri Response Manager and eApps (the paid version of the response manager with some additional features like searching resumes and assigning filters).
Account Management
This section mentions the rights which a super user has and reports that super-user/sub-user have access to. This section also explains the ‘Manage Subuser’ section, using which a super-user can add/remove a sub-user and modify his access permissions.

How to use Insta Recruit effectively
Insta Recruit is designed to save you time in your recruitment process. Here are some basic tips to draw more responses from Jobseekers using Insta-Recruit.
- The text of the SMS should contain the essential pieces about a Job (Job profile, skills required, experience, and location).
- Clarity of the context should not be compromised even while using the SMS lingo (only remove the vowels where common abbreviations are not found).
- Minimize using special characters in the text of the SMS, some special characters cannot be displayed on low range Mobile Handsets.
- Draft the SMS in the text box given here rather than copy pasting from a word editor, this ensures that no html characters are part of the content and message can be displayed correctly.
- Your company name is visible in the Mobile emulator on the construct SMS page. If company name isn’t sounding right contact your sales representative and provide them with the desired name within the allocated characters-13 characters for Insta Recruit, 18 for Insta Recruit Plus.
- You can send longer SMS if you use the without apply functionality. Care should be taken to provide accurate contact information - email id or Phone/Mobile Number in the SMS. Candidates would be able to contact you only on the mentioned details in the SMS.

Now you can search for IT professionals with a specific skill set and a specific number of years of experience in each of those skills. You can also add other search criteria in the search form. To start with the IT Search, use the form displayed below:
- You can select upto 5 Skills in the IT Skills Section and select the minimum Experience for each skill
- Select resumes with ‘Any of the skills’ or ‘All of the skills’
- Check ‘Search IT Skills in the Entire Resume also’ if you also want to see resumes that may be an approximate match to the skills you mentioned
- Enter other details if you wish to further refine the search

- You can select from more than 150 most used IT Skills
- You have the option to search on upto 5 IT Skills at the same time
- You can “Search IT Skills in the Entire Resume also”
- Option to search for “All the skills” and “Any of the skills”

Now jobseekers do not need access to a computer, Internet or even e-mail to send their CV to you! All they need is a mobile phone.
This should increase the number of relevant responses to the vacancies advertised by you and help you recruit faster from options galore.
Boolean operators, i.e, ‘AND’, ‘OR’, ‘NOT’ are used in creating search queries to deliver stunningly accurate and precise results. Sometimes very complex Boolean queries are required, but only the expert users are able to create them in the single keyword box in the ‘Advanced Search’.
We decided to make creating those complex Boolean queries simple. For everyone , expert or not.
The Advanced Search is now enhanced with a set of three keyword boxes together called ‘EZ Keywords’. ‘EZ Keywords’ splits the keywords in our Advanced Search form into three textboxes- Any; All; Exclude. Now anyone can enter the skills required, or those not required, in the relevant textboxes to quickly and easily create complex search queries.
Any- will search for resumes containing at least one of the keywords mentioned in this box
All- will search for resumes containing all the keywords mentioned in this box
Exclude- exclude resumes containing any of the keywords mentioned in this box
For Example:
Any: “Marketing Manager”, “Brand Manager”, “Product Manager”
All: “Promotion”, “Pricing”, “Product Mix”,
Exclude: “FMCG”, “Consumer Durable”
The above search query will look for resumes with the keywords (”Marketing Manager” OR “Brand Manager” OR “Product Manager”) AND (”Promotion” AND “Pricing” AND “Product Mix”) AND NOT (”FMCG” OR “Consumer Durable”)
Rest of the Advanced Search functionality is as is.
Following is the Sample Snapshot of the new Search Form for a quick reference:
There still exists the usual, regular keyword search box that you are familiar with. We have now renamed it to Boolean Search. Boolean search is also a part of the Advanced Search form and can be toggled to using the link/radio button.
EZ Keywords is being provided as the default Advanced Search but you can change the default search form to the former single keyword box, Boolean Search, using the Resdex Settings.
