Recruiters share open vacancies to their employees who in turn refer their contacts for these positions. Candidates referred by current employees are more likely to be aware about the organization’s culture. Also, research suggests that an employer is 7 times more* likely to hire a candidate coming through an employee referral than if the candidate applies through a non-referral route

Naukri Referral solution is a simple, easy to use application to create, track and manage your Employee Referral Program. Recruiters can reach out to employee’s contacts and their social networks from a single interface.

How would I enter employee email IDs for sending referral mailers to them?
Employee email-ids can be imported from multiple sources, so you are not restricted to a few avenues to import contacts from.
LinkedIn and Microsoft Outlook contacts can be downloaded in to an excel sheet and then uploaded to the system
Contacts in your Gmail and Yahoo email accounts can be imported in a single click
Contacts can also be added through just an excel sheet (emails entered in one column or comma-separated emails in a single cell)

1. How do I benefit by sharing a job on a social network?
Every time you share a job, your contacts can see and apply through the shared link. In case, the position gets closed through your shared link you will be eligible for the referral benefit as decided by your organization’s HR policies

2. How will I get to know when one of my contact applies through my shared links?
Every week you will receive an email containing details of all candidates who have applied through any of the links you shared

3. Will I still get a referral benefit if a third or fourth level contact applies to the link I shared on my social network?
Even in cases where your shared link gets propagated by your contacts, you will get the credit for that referral because you initiated that link on to that network

4. What if the same jobseeker applies more than once through referral links shared by multiple employees?
Jobseekers cannot apply to the same job twice using their Naukri profile for a period of 1 month. In case, jobseeker applies using their unregistered profile also, the duplicate applies can be easily tracked using the date of apply and referral benefit can be given to the employee who referred first.

5.In case i forward the email to my friends or share the URL with my contacts separately, will I still get a credit for that Referral?
Yes, if you copy the URL from the referral mailer and share it with your friends, Referral will still work and will be credited against your name.

Combining the power of Resdex and Job Posting for recruitment

As a recruiter, you can Send a Job as Email (http://recruiterzone.naukri.com/?p=1935) to over 2000 jobseekers in one go (and more in the sets of up to 2000).  After posting a job on Naukri, you can search the most relevant candidates in Resdex and send them the job.  Send a Job as Email thus combines the power of Job Posting and Resdex, and helps in closing the positions at the earliest.

Searching and shortlisting of relevant candidates from Resdex may require significant amount of time and effort. Now, Naukri can also help in identifying the matching jobseekers. To begin with, this functionality is available if you have posted a job where annual salary mentioned is more than Rs 15 lakhs per annum.  The candidates are selected using the Naukri iMatch technology which also powers Naukri Job Alerts.  The matched candidates are available in a folder in Resdex which carries with the same name as the job title for convenient access. If you want, you can further shortlist candidates from this set or send the job as email with a single click.

We inform you about the folder through an email that is sent to the registered email address of the sub-user and the email address mentioned for collection of responses as shown below:

We are now introducing a more powerful ‘Refine Results’ section on the Resume Search Results Page making the feature more exhaustive, useful and actionable.

1. You can now easily refine your search results based on Salary, Industry, Functional Area, Role, UG Qualification, PG Qualification and Current Location.

2. You can make multiple selections when refining. This reduces the number of clicks, and your time required, to find the most relevant resume.

3. We have also taken this opportunity to change the structure of the page based on feedback from users. We have shifted the Refine Results panel to the left of the page in order to improve usability and readability of the page for you.

How to use Multi-Select Refine Results to your advantage :

Some jobseekers misclassify their Industry, Functional Area, Role even though their profile is rich with the relevant skills that you want. So, if you select an Industry or Functional Area or Role in the search-form before you conduct a search, such candidates will not show up on the results page.

With Multi-Select Refine feature on the Results Page, you need not guess the Industry or Functional Area before you conduct the search. You can just perform a broad search with only Keywords, Experience range CTC and Location. Basis the distribution of results across various categories, you can decide better how you want to refine the results.

In order to help you (recruiters and employers) get better, sharper response from candidates they contact,
we have now designed the Contact Candidate Form such that you can send more targeted and more informative
mails to candidates.

First, there is the Job Details section, where we ask you to input some highlights of the job you are emailing
about. This information will be presented to jobseekers at the top of the email, and in bold – which means
the candidate can now get a quick snapshot idea of what the job is about, and hence can take faster, better
judgment to respond to you. They will now not put off reading (and responding to) the email for later because
the Job Detail highlights will grip their attention instantly.

Second, let’s consider the Candidate Profile to be contacted. Here we want to encourage you to take a
conscious choice about which candidates are most suitable for the job opportunity. If you have already
entered these values in the search form, then these fields will get pre-filled. This ensures that candidates
will receive relevant emails, and the response rate to your emails will improve.

You would be warned in case you select large/broad ranges for experience/CTC field in either job attribute or candidate profile. You can always ignore the warning and continue to use the range as specified earlier. This is just to ensure that you do not make any unconscious candidate contacts. This also helps you use your email quota judiciously.

To provide greater value for your money and help you find the best candidates faster, we have now introduced candidate clusters on search result page. You can now search your mandate and then drill down quicker among 4 different groups of candidates - All Resumes, Premium Resumes, Confidential Resumes and Featured Resumes - who match your requirement. It will help you quickly identify, and zero-in, on high quality candidates who may be ready for new job opportunities.

The candidates have been grouped under four heads.

1. All Resumes - this would have all resumes which match your search.

2. Premium Resumes - Premium Resumes are of those candidates with a markedly high quality of work experience, and/or educational background. They have been recognized as Premium by Naukri.

You can also search ‘Only Premium candidates’ from the search form.

Premium candidates would be shown with a Premium icon.

3. Confidential Resumes - Confidential Resumes are of those handpicked premium candidates who wish to maintain their confidentiality while changing jobs. If you like any resume, please click on the contact button (on the resume page) to request for further details about the candidate.

4. Featured Resumes - Featured Resumes are of those candidates who have availed jobseeker services from Naukri and are actively looking for a change in their career. These candidates would be shown with a Featured icon.

We are in a constant feedback loop with our users and try to make our products better every single day.
Basis feedback from a lot of users, we are happy to introduce an improved search on Preferred Location in Resdex.

Now you will be able to select Candidate’s Current and Preferred Locations in two separate dropdowns and specify an ‘And/Or’ criteria between them.

Please refer to the screenshot below:

When you use ‘OR’

If you wish to see resumes of candidates who are currently in the location you specify in the Candidate’s Current Location field OR those who prefer to work in the location you specify in the Candidate’s Preferred Location field, select the OR radio button.

For example:

Upon selecting Candidate’s Current Location as Mumbai OR Candidate’s Preferred Location Mumbai, we will show you resumes of two kinds of candidates:

1. Candidates currently in Mumbai

2. Candidates not in Mumbai, but prefer to move to Mumbai

When you use ‘AND’

If you wish to see resumes of candidates who are currently in the location you specify in the Candidate’s Current Location field AND prefer to move to the location you specify in the Candidate’s Preferred Location field

For example:

Upon selecting Candidate’s Current Location = Dubai/UAE AND Candidate’s Preferred Location = Mumbai, we will show you resumes of those candidates who are currently in Dubai/UAE but prefer to work in Mumbai.

Going forward jobseekers registering with Naukri.com will be able to upload their resumes in doc-x format. Currently only doc (MS Word 2003) and the rich text formats were allowed.

This will help jobseekers using MS Office 2007 register faster with us. Also more jobseekers will be able to upload their word CV’s with us, and that will only help you shortlist the best candidate sooner.

Incase you are still using a version of MS Office lower than 2007, we advise you to download a converter immediately. The converter allows you to read Word 2007 CV’s in the correct format. How to use Insta Recruit effectively

Insta Recruit is designed to save you time in your recruitment process. Here are some basic tips to draw more responses from Jobseekers using Insta-Recruit.

  1. The text of the SMS should contain the essential pieces about a Job (Job profile, skills required, experience, and location).
  2. Clarity of the context should not be compromised even while using the SMS lingo (only remove the vowels where common abbreviations are not found).
  3. Minimize using special characters in the text of the SMS, some special characters cannot be displayed on low range Mobile Handsets.
  4. Draft the SMS in the text box given here rather than copy pasting from a word editor, this ensures that no html characters are part of the content and message can be displayed correctly.
  5. Your company name is visible in the Mobile emulator on the construct SMS page. If company name isn’t sounding right contact your sales representative and provide them with the desired name within the allocated characters-13 characters for Insta Recruit, 18 for Insta Recruit Plus.
  6. You can send longer SMS if you use the without apply functionality. Care should be taken to provide accurate contact information - email id or Phone/Mobile Number in the SMS. Candidates would be able to contact you only on the mentioned details in the SMS.
